After the 2009 D&AD Student Awards last week the full Online Annual is now live. Until now only the entries nominated for an award were on the site. My entry was given “In-Book” status meaning it didn’t go up till after the ceremony.
You can see my entry by clicking right here.
Any comments or feedback you want to leave would be greatly appreciated and I strongly recommend you browse around the other work on the site, some of it is amazing. Having my work placed alongside it is a fair old compliment.
I also used the image for another mini project which I’ll hopefully get online before too long.
I thought I’d post this up here because well, I’m still pretty proud of it to be honest.

Today was a big day. I finally got my feedback for third year and my Bachelor’s in Design!
The grade I was really hoping for was a B. After my overall C last semester (which in my opinion is not a bad mark in the slightest), my tutors told me they were expecting a B this time around and I really didn’t want to disappoint. I was naturally a little concerned and even a wee bit scared but, if truth be told, after the whole D&AD thing, I was quietly confident that I had at least a decent grade. Also, I feel this past semester has been the best for me personally. I feel like I have made the biggest improvement in the past few months than any other time since starting at RGU. This made me feel that even if my grade was lower than I hoped, I could take solace in feeling like I have personally grown a lot in the last term, whether it was reflected in my grades or not.

Last week I got some wonderful news. My entry to the D&AD Student Awards 2009 was a success!
My entry is set to be included on the Winner’s site, which, apparantly puts my piece in the top 10% of entries! This year is the first year the company is not publishing the D&AD Student Awards Annual though, with the new online annual replacing it. As nice as it would have been to have the physical book with my work in it, the site is much more accessible and can be viewed by a fair few more people than the book with a limited print run. More information on the new online annual is available here.
